Status - OPEN for 2023
Commission requests for 2023 are taken through Artistree. This System has steps in place to protect both the artist and the commissioner. Please see the link below after reading through my terms.
General Info
Personal and Commercial commissions are open. Please reach out via email or indicate on the Artistree Form if you are interested in a commercial commission for use on books, merch or prints.
Most prices and info are for personal and indie commissions, larger commercial commissions will be considered individually.
Artistree charges a 6.5% platform fee at time of payment. This allows the artist to keep 100% of the commission price. FAQ
Estimated prices on Artistree are not caps, if your request is especially complex or has more than 2 characters it will go over the range when I send the final bid.
I reserve the right to decline commissions for any reason.
Please let me know if you would like to keep a commission private, otherwise I reserve the right to post the commission to any of my social sites.
Unsavory behavior and comments will result in being blocked from future commissions. Including but not limited to bullying, ghosting, selling merch of the art without permission, etc.
No NFTs or AI related requests. I do not allow my work to be used for either.
Commercial Extras
Commercial work may be posted on my socials after the agreed upon date.
Licensing Fees to print and sell is 5% of commission cost.
I am open to discussing sales percentage options or the ability to sell official fanart etc.

Commission Process

Request and Pay

1) Reach out via Artistree and put in a request, this does not lock you in it simply lets me know you are interested.
2) I will review the request. If I need additional information we will discuss.
3) I will either accept or decline the request. Accepted requests will then receive a final quote.
4) 100% of the cost will be charged upfront. Complex illustrations over $400 can have a payment plan in place with 50% upfront, and 50% after the line art is complete.

References
Please provide a good list of references in the request.
Character Info - a relevant description that captures the main details OR a reference of previous art, Pinterest mood boards are acceptable, I will not copy someone's likeness but you can use it as a reference for features.
Poses - a detailed description or collection of images for the pose, I will not copy the pose of existing art or photo graphs that you do not own one to one.
Background - if you would like a background please find references for this as well so that I can accurately price how long it will take, atmosphere or lighting is also appreciated if you want something specific.
Tattoos - please have very specific ideas for this, designing a bunch of tattoos from the ground up takes time, I will not copy another artists tattoos one to one.
Anything else, just ask! I am happy to help with ideas and designs on a case by case.

During the Commission

1) I will send a sketch with the pose, and all primary details worked out. You will review and can request alterations at this phase. Alterations should be within the realm of what was discussed for the commission and not a complete change.
2) I will send an updated sketch with more details worked out, this is the final phase before line art. You can ask for small adjustments here but any major alterations to the idea will cost $15+ depending on how much is being reworked.
3) Line art will be completed and sent to you before I start the coloring process, this may include color block-ins for easier viewing.
4) Colors will be sent and we can make some adjustments to colors and values before finalizing.
Please note that any changes after phase 1 may be subject to additional costs.
After final submission is approved, you receive the final file and can post and enjoy it.
FAQ
What can I do with my private commission?
You are free to post your commission on any social site. I ask that you credit me when possible.
You may also use it personally for backgrounds, icons, etc as long as you are not making money off of the commission.
You may also print it up for yourself, just don't add it to sites that sell art like Redbubble etc.

Why are your prices higher than others?
A lot of artists online price their work below minimum wage and work many more hours than the cost of the commission should entail. I have priced these at a fair rate for the hours of work involved.
If the cost doesn't work for you, that's OK, you can just let me know its out of your budget at the moment and you may reach out again if you change your mind.

I kindly ask that you do not use other artists' prices as a bargaining tool. You can commission them if that is the price range that works for you.
